  Gaming & Lotteries Department

   The Gaming and Lotteries Division is responsible for the licencing, monitoring and

   regulation of all lottery, including raffles, bingos and prize promotions and gaming

   activities which are conducted in Jamaica. These activities are presently being

  Administrative Department

   This Division ensures that the workload of the gambling industry, which has expanded

   during the nineties,  is distributed in the most efficient and effective way and that

   there is no overlap in the Commission's functions in the enforcement of the gambling

   laws. It ensures that there are clear leaders of defined Divisions to whom the public

  Betting Department

   This Division monitors the operations of the sole horseracing promoter in Jamaica

   and fifteen bookmakers. This monitoring involves the supervision of betting at the

   Caymanas Park race track in Jamaica, and at the racing promoter's 73 off-track

   betting parlours, at over 110 racing pools outlets and at 533 bookmakers' betting

  Enforcement Department

   The establishment of an Enforcement Division is a new strategy, which enables the

   Commission to shift its  focus from monitoring only, to also enforcing the gambling 

   laws wherever they apply throughout Jamaica. The Division includes Investigators

   trained in the detection of corruption in gambling wherever it exists and an 

   Intelligence officer whose duty is to locate, collect, collate and archive information
