  The Betting Gaming & Lotteries Commission is a statutory body established  in 1975.

  under the provisions of the Betting Gaming & Lotteries Act to regulate and control

  the operations of betting and gaming and the conduct of lotteries in the island, but

  without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing:-

. to examine in consultation with such persons as it considers appropriate, problems

. relating to the operation of betting, gaming and the conduct of lotteries in the

  Island; to furnish information and advice and to make recommendations to the

  Minister with respect to the exercise by him of his functions under Part1V, Part V 

  and Part V1 of the Betting Gaming & Lotteries Act; and to make investigations 

  and surveys for the purpose of obtaining information of use to it in the exercise of 

  its functions. The Commission is headed by a Chairman and six (6) other 

  Commissioners all appointed by the Minister of Finance. The Commission is comprised

  of approximately fifty-seven (57) employees and its day to day functions are conducted

  through four(4) Divisions namely the:

  Betting division, Gaming division, Enforcement division, and Administrative division

  The directors of these divisions report directly to an Executive Director.
